SHE DID IT!

Libby performed in her first Primary Program! She struggled in a few practices before, but today she did it. She said her part loud and clear! The Program was amazing! We have a great music director. The songs were beautiful. The spirit was so strong. I got chills when they sang "Love is Spoken Here." I wish I could have seen all my neices and nephews in their programs. It really was a great theme this year. In our primary, all the children come up with their own parts based on themes given to them. It was neat to hear their testimonies. Libby's part was special to us because since we found out about Adalyn's eye condition we've been talking about priesthood blessings. Libby has a testimony of them and how we can be healed through them. Her Sunbeam class was to talk about their testimonies of Christ. She chose to say, "Jesus healed the sick people." We know that Adalyn can see as good as she does because of Him. I was especially touched by a few of the children. One told about when he was stung by a bee, his sister sang him a song, and he felt the Holy Ghost comfort him. One boy, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, bore his testimony about Jesus Christ and the Resurrection. He said his Faith in Jesus Christ has helped him and his family through this hard time, and knowing that he will have a perfect body someday makes him happy. There were several solos in the program. I was amazed at the talent and courage they had to do that. One boy sang the second verse of "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus." His voice is wonderful! I think he discovered a talent. He told me afterward that he didn't know he could sing, but now he'll be singing a lot. That made me happy, because I know he has the talent to touch others with his singing.
We have had a great week. Can't wait for the next one. We love you all!

LOVE your new blog, Kristin! Keep up the great work! We, too, had our Primary Program yesterday. Claire sang a trio of "Hosanna" w/ some friends and then she spoke about her Great, Great Gramma Eliza Ellen Davis who was the 1st member of the church here in Dallas. She then spoke about her own baptism a bit. The music and talks were all great, and it was a wonderful program...always a tear-jerker! ;) One day I'll make time to blog...but for now I'll just enjoy yours...HA! :)
Love, Laurie (Whitworth) & Family

Yes! I can not believe how many people have commented on the program! The children all memorized their parts! That is the amazing thing! And I am so proud of Libby!

Have a good one!
