Freedom of Expression

Today, I took Libby to church when I probably shouldn't have. She had the stomach flu yesterday, then this morning she was eating well, running around, and saying she was better. So, we went. Then in the middle of primary, she started to cry and said she wanted to go to me. I knew immedietly what was wrong. She was sick again. She said she wanted to go home and throw up. I felt so bad that I took her to church. I should have kept her home. Anyway, I had to get Larry out of nursery. He did not want to go home. He said he wanted to go back to class for his snack. I tried to tell him he could have any snack he wanted at home. That didn't comfort him. He didn't cry or throw a fit, he just had a total look of aggrivation that I took him away from class. When we got home, he looked at me with serious eyes and scrunched eyebrows and said firmly without yelling, "Mom, I am so mad at you. I wanted my snack at church." As much as I felt bad that I did that to him, I had to feel a little proud. He handled that in such a grown up way. He didn't yell, or cry, or throw a fit. He clearly stated how he was feeling and what dissappointed him.

About an hour later, Libby was back to normal again, eating and playing just fine. Hmmm. I hope she doesn't try this one again.

At least you know Larry actually likes Nusery now ;)

I'm glad that Libby is feeling better.
