I don't love my carpet, but I have a friend who when she was buying her new house went to pick carpet from the designated carpet distributor and couldn't afford their price for the kind she wanted. So she went to Home Depot and found the exact same very nice carpet for MUCH cheaper and had it installed for considerably less than what the fancy carpet store was charging. So I would check that out.
