I am the type of Mom that tries to reason with my children. They have caught on to this and now they try to reason with me. Sometimes their reasoning is hard to argue with. Here are a few examples. Last Sunday Libby wanted to wear a shiny, bright blue jacket that I bought at goodwill to use for dress-up. She wanted to wear it over her dress to "keep warm." I told her to pick something else because it didn't match her Greenish blue dress quite right. She said, "but it matches my blue eyes and my bright blue finger nail polish!" And it did, quite perfectly. How do I argue with that! Then that same day after church, Libby spilled a bunch of cheerios on the floor. I asked her to pick them up. She said, "Why, mom? Adalyn is eating them, and she is really hungry!" Then I tried to explain that the floor is dirty. Libby reminded me that I mopped it the day before and Adalyn is eating them really fast. OK, then! By the time I would have convinced Libby to clean them up, Adalyn ate them all.
Side note: This is the perfect example of Libby being just like her Dad! They love to use their talent to talk to try and get out of things!

It sounds like Libby is well on her way to Law School ;)
Yeah, those 4 year olds are pretty smart...
You could probably start writing a book and cash in on all of Libby's wisdom!!
I love Libby!
Have you ever read "The Goose Girl"? Libby and Nathan must have the gift of "people speaking"! She's dang good... I'm impressed!
Oh that is so cute. Gabe is just getting to that age of talking me into things....i knew it would come sooner or later!
Who knew 4 year olds could be so darn smart!!
Just respond with "Oh really, well go to your room!" Oh wait, your kids may be to young for that to work... Well, good luck. I can't argue either. :P
