Before I tell my latest happening. Here's a fish update. Dear Lenny is gone. Wolf is hangin' tough. Larry is very pleased. Libby is over fish. She told me she doesn't want to get any more...ever again. Thankyou to all who supported me through the fish blues. I loved your comments. And a quick note to all my readers....I love your blogs, too! I do read them and laugh and cry and I enjoy them very much. Sometimes I get a chance to comment, but most of the time I am trying to hurry and look with a short amount of time.
Ok, here's the funny. We were supposed to have a high priest dinner last weekend. I made a dessert for it. I made an oreo cookie pie. I love the flavor chocolate mint. So, my bright idea was to make the oreo pie into a mint oreo pie. I added food coloring and some mint extract. It looked brilliant! Then the dinner was canceled. I thought, "yeah, I get to eat the whole pie!" Then when I tasted it, I was so glad that no one else did! It tasted just like toothpaste! I would describe it by telling you to eat an oreo cookie, then go brush your teeth! Sounds gross? Yeah, we ate the whole thing anyway in a few days.

Okay this is hilarious for more than one reason Kristin. The thought of it tasting like toothpaste cracks me up!
Here's the other reaason. I made the same dessert for the dinner!!!! When I asked Spencer what he wanted me to make he said Mud Pie. Mint ice cream, oreos, fudge sauce and cool whip. How funny would that have been if we had shown up with the same dessert unplanned? Hahaha!
Whatever Tiff, we all know you Bishopric wives have a secret soceity. Your pie duplication would have only proved it.
Don't you love when you are blessed like that? I have had some serious near misses with food I have made too. I think I'll go brush my teeth and pop and oreo now. :)
Funny! I have had plenty of food that I thought would be fabulous turn out yuck!
It seems wierd to me that you are going to a high priest dinner!
Kristin it really couldn't have been that bad. I mean with something like OREOs in it - it has to be delicious. The wonderful flavor of OREOs trumps out any other flavor doesn't it? I have a love for OREOs and have not had a good portion of them for 3 weeks now. I have lost 9 pounds, but I think they've gone out looking for OREOs!
Don't hate me... but I just tagged you. I'm new to the whole thing, so I hope I'm doing this right!
Check out my blog for details (see the post "Tagged").
